Acupuncture is an amazing drug free treatment modality that was developed by the Chinese centuries ago. It stimulates the body to heal itself and has a plethora of medical and historical evidence to support its healing effects. Points are areas where nerve bundles, muscle fascia, and blood vessels meet. By stimulating these areas with needles, we can greatly enhance circulation to remove toxins and deliver medication, while initiating the release of natural opioids and anti-inflammatory mediators to quite the body's immune system and relieve pain. The needles are very tiny and only remain in your pet for 10-30 minutes per session. Dr Lewis has certification in scientific evidence based healing acupuncture certified through Cura Core Integrative Medicine and Education center with Dr. Narda Robinson. Dr Robinson is not only a human osteopathic physician and massage therapist but also a veterinarian and founder of Cura Core. She has integrated her expertise in human medicine with animal medicine to further advance healing for all species. She is an amazing teacher and we are so excited to have this therapy to offer. Acupuncture can be a standalone treatment for acute and chronic pain or disease, or a compliment to enhance any traditional therapy. Acupuncture can be a part of almost any treatment modality to encourage self-healing and pain relief naturally. Please call to schedule an appointment for an evaluation and treatment plan!
