This is my second review. I wrote the first one a couple of years ago after only seeing Dr. Lewis a handful of times. I wanted to write an updated review.

One of the hardest days for our family was when it was time to let our very sick dog go. Dr. Lewis is the one who recognized that my 9 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback was so sick. She gave me many options. What I appreciate so much is she didn't force me to do a bunch of expensive tests just to prove what she already knew. It was obvious he was declining fast and she and Aubrey were both so kind and supportive. They didn't make me make a decision right there on the spot. They gave me time to let it all sink in. After a day or two, I knew it was time to let him go. Dr. Lewis and Aubrey came to my home and made the experience so peaceful and gentle. It was heartbreaking, of course, but they handled everything with such compassion and dignity that I will never forget it.

They have also taken care of my big beautiful Maine Coons for several years now, and it's always such a great experience! I recommended them a couple of years ago and I still feel the same way. They are the best!

We are new to the Magnolia/Waller/Hockley area and when we moved, we had specific things we were looking for in a vet. One that listens, understands our high drive sport dogs, is willing to think outside of the box, and someone we can build a relationship with. We have found that AND MORE in Dr. Lewis with Saving Grace. The first time we called for information on her practice I think she spent an hour on the phone with us. She gave us her phone number and is always so responsive if we have a question or concern. Dr. Lewis was at my house just today and I told her if she ever retired, she would need to clone herself first because she is THE vet we've been looking for. And the icing on the cake is that she is mobile! Huge perk as we have 6 dogs!! If she services your area, you cannot go wrong. I've already referred many friends to her. Aubrey her vet tech is amazing as well - just as caring and compassionate as she is. Incredible team. Incredible practice - unlike any practice you will find anywhere else. HIGHLY recommend!

I can't say enough kind words about Dr. Grace and Aubrey. We called them 3 years ago when our 15 year old fur baby was about to die from pancreatitis. I thought for sure we would need to put him down but after an exam, Dr Grace knew she could get him on a path to recovery. I was impressed with how much she knew about him (from reviewing his records) when she got here. She explained what was going on with him in a way no vet ever had. Our baby had to go to the er for a few nights and Dr Grace stayed in contact with them and would send me updates constantly. It was so comforting knowing we found a vet that truly cared for our fur baby. He recovered like a champ and we had an additional 3 years with him thanks to Dr Grace and Aubrey. I can't thank them enough. I wish we had found them sooner! Forever grateful.

I have a senior dog with severe mobility issues that recently started having bladder issues. Taking him to the vet was not a reasonable option so I reached out to Saving Grace and was able to get an appointment within a few days. I honestly thought our days with him were few, but Dr. Lewis has done an amazing job at getting our boy feeling better again. Dr. Lewis and Aubrey have been great to work with and when they were unable to make a scheduled an appointment due to an unexpected illness, Dr. Lewis made time on a Saturday (her day off) to stop by for our follow up. She truly cares about her patients and takes the time to get to the root of the issues. Their communication has been top-notch and the two of them make an amazing team. I highly recommend Saving Grace Mobile Vet.

Our 5-year-old pup began having seizures when taken to the vet for his annual checkups about two years ago. He has not had them any other time. It started with just one, as we entered the vet clinic. Next time, when we entered and then later in the day when we got home. Each time the count of seizures increased. This past visit, he had one entering, one while inside, one when leaving and then two more later that day. Seeing him foaming, convulsing, peeing. It's too much. After looking around, we found out about Saving Grace. Sad to say, but our first thought was, yes, it might be good for him but just how much would a house call cost. It would have to be a fortune. We decided to give Dr. Lewis a call. She was so compassionate over the phone, invested in a dog she had never seen. We made an appointment. So professional. She showed up when she said. What a big, beautiful rig. They are able to do everything I could think of in there. Barney walked right up the steps and into the truck and made himself at home. No stress, no anxiety. She asked questions, I gave answers, she listened. She was wonderful with Barney. The service was above and beyond. The prices were completely competitive. Our other dog will become a patient, on his next annual. If you have a dog that is stressing about going to the vet, make the plunge. Call Dr. Lewis and start your in-home visits today. It is so worth it.

My fur baby is a senior dog, going on 14 years. We thought that perhaps it may be time to let him go. We wanted to make sure that he had the most peaceful passing. Taking him to our current vet would have been too stressful for him as he does not like going to the vet's office at all. Never has. I called our vet and they recommended a few mobile vets that provided this service. I called only one, Saving Grace Animal Medical Center. Main reason is the name of their service, Saving Grace. I was drawn to it. First contact was very difficult; they put me at ease immediately and guided me on the process. I requested a medical review before making that final decision. Home appointment was made right away. Dr. Lewis arrived promptly. She presented as a professional, knowledgeable and kind person. I noticed as we were talking about our dog, she was watching him throughout the visit. She performed the medical exam. She gave her diagnosis. Prognosis - I get to spend a little more time with my fur baby. Dr. Lewis was thorough and "blunt" in her responses to our questions. I liked the "blunt" part the most. I needed. She assessed our dog first and foremost and assessed the caregivers as well. She gave ideas on how to address some of our dog's needs to make his quality of life better. She covered all the bases. I am so impressed by her and her aide Aubrey. My husband and I thank you both for your kindness and honesty. For making our baby so comfortable with you. Dogs know! I highly recommend Dr. Lewis and staff.

Dr. Lewis is a Champion among veterinarians!

We (Lucky Kitty Crew, 501c3, non-profit rescue) and I personally have had the pleasure of working with Dr Grace Lewis through the many kitties in my life and the life of our rescue since 2001.

We love her patient, caring, and kind spirit; the kitties are always comfortable with her. We appreciate Dr Lewis' straightforward thorough explanations especially when we are caring for an unusual or critical case. Dr Lewis is current on research, well informed and utilizes her research capabilities to give us options in treatment paths. When other vets have suggested generalized treatment, Dr Lewis has been able to give us the most up to date, innovative treatments to help our Crew recover in the most healthful way for long term permanent health gains! Kitties are our rescue specialty and we appreciate that Dr Lewis also understands the unique nature of kitty care. She is awesome with dogs and stellar with kitties!

Dr. Lewis was very caring, thorough and resourceful in diagnosing and treating our dog, Sadie. She did an incredible job saving our dog's life. She systematically diagnosed Sadie's rare condition and took the initiative to reach out to her mentors at Texas A&M for confirmation. She was frugal with testing. I believe she only used tests that were absolutely necessary to get to the root of Sadie's condition and was equally thoughtful in prescribing treatment. She checked in with us via text or phone call and was an active participant in her recovery too. During this past spring Sadie relapsed after 4 years of remission which upon contacting Dr. Lewis she immediately recognized Sadie's condition was very serious and recommended us to a specialist. Over the next couple of days Dr. Lewis stayed in communications with the specialist and us regarding Sadie's condition. Even when Sadie's condition was terminal it was very comforting to be able to discuss end of life plans with Dr. Lewis. I have the highest respect and admiration for Dr. Lewis's expertise, approach to running her practice and caring for our pet. I've had pets all my life and Dr. Lewis is the best veterinarian we've ever had!

I drove almost an hour for the better part of a year to use Dr. Lewis as my vet for my Bernese Mountain Dog. She is very personable, knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate. She also had a lot of helpful knowledge about some allergy issues my dog was experiencing and was able to advise me on treating them. Unfortunately, she moved and went part time - or I would have continued to drive all the way from central Houston out to Waller in order to continue using her as my vet. I can not recommend her highly enough....

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Grace Lewis!! We had a 9 year-old Doberman who was diagnosed with cancer just before Christmas and was having severe complications. We saw Dr. Lewis for the first time and she was so helpful and kind... she never rushed us to make a decision and went out of her way to ensure our dog was comfortable in her last days. On Christmas Eve our dog took a turn for the worse and we knew she would not make it until Christmas morning. Dr Lewis left her own family and came into the clinic on Christmas Eve so our dog would no longer be in pain. She went out of her way to help us in a time of sadness and my family will forever be grateful for her compassion and kindness.

I highly recommend Dr Lewis to care for your animals! She has a heart of gold and is very knowledgeable; but more importantly, she will care for your pets like they are her own.

As anyone who loves animals knows, they are not just pets, they are family members. When my Annabelle sustained a severe injury, I was so upset and scared I could barely function. I was fortunate to find Dr. Lewis. She is so professional but also compassionate. She gave me confidence and such peace of mind in a very stressful situation. More importantly, her experience and skill gave me my Annabelle back, healthy and healed. What a blessing! Words could never describe my gratitude. Dr. Lewis is not just a doctor, she is a difference maker.

My family first met Dr. Lewis when my son brought home a stray dog the day after Thanksgiving 2003. This poor animal was in horrible shape. I was certain that IF we could find a vet that was open the day after Thanksgiving, they would put this unfortunate thing down. Well, enter Dr. Lewis. Luckily her clinic was open and she took that dog and just started tackling the problems one by one. She was incredibly compassionate for what the animal had endured. Mange, heartworms, eye infections, ear infections, abscessed puncture wounds, intestinal worms, malnutrition, etc. Name it, this dog had it. It took many, many months, but that dog regained its health even with having to go on bovine wormer at one point to kill out the mange when several attempts with regular methods had failed. How Dr. Lewis figured that one out, I'll never know. Through the whole process Dr. Lewis kept us informed of all she was doing and why. She answered all our questions, never making us feel like a bother. She is not only an accomplished vet, but also just a very pleasant person to be around. Since that day, we have followed Dr. Lewis when she has changed clinics and we are looking forward to her continued thorough and compassionate care of our "zoo" through her new mobile clinic.

I believe that the majority of veterinarians are very good at their professions and truly love animals. I've had only a small number of poor experiences. I also believe there are a handful of vets that fall into the category I'd consider unrivaled in their excellence. Dr. Lewis is one of them. The amount of time and effort she put into diagnosing and caring for my very ill cat went far beyond what I'd expect from any doctor. She personally researched and discussed options with other specialists throughout the state for what I'm guessing was hours and days of her personal time. She also takes into consideration the toll a sick animal takes on us humans and helped me find ways to cut costs and trained me on providing some of the care at home. Dr. Lewis treats all animals as though they're her own. I have a happy, healthy furbaby that, without Dr. Lewis, would simply not have survived. She invests her heart and soul into what she does and my family is very grateful to have found her.
